The district administration has been on high alert as election for the Barh and Mokama Loksabha seat is due on thursday. As the distance from the capital happens to be just about 70 kms. According to DM,Patna, Jitendra Kr. Sinha that all possible entry/exit point to the capital has been sealed.The taal area of Mokama, and Diara in Barh which are known as a criminal's paradise for so long the execution of poll process has been the biggest challenge. Sale of liquour has been banned on tuesday itself. As per record with state EC there are 2.20 lakhs and 2.28 lakhs voter from Mokama and Barh respectively is on the roll. A total of 225 polling booths has been constituted in Mokama while in Barh the number is 238.

The administration has also express its concern over the peaceful process of polling and indicted 65 booth as critical and 20 as vulnerable in Mokama i.e. 85 out of 225 booths are under scanner that's about 40 percent. Almost similar is the case with Barh as 51 booths has been said as critical while 20 are underscored as Vulnerable. Talking to media, the DM said that all preparation has been done for a free and fair election. Taking the sensitiveness of the two seats we have only relied upon the central forces, though at other places during the last two rounds homeguard jawans has successfully delievered their duty, but we don't want to take any chance. Deployment of 51 Micro-absorbers has been placed with digital cameras. Besides the force deployed there are enough force who will be sit at district control rooms in Barh and Mokama for quick reaction in any sort of mishappenings. Forces with horse were sent to Diara and Taal areas for heavy. They have been patrolling the area for quite some days as precaution. 131 magistrates with armed force and police gypsy has been pressed into service for the smooth execution of election.
