Flag Hoisted In Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan

Patna Correspondent: Celebrating Republic Day, the national tri-color was hoisted in the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan premises in Kadamkuan by the president in-charge Haridwar Pandey followed by salute and national anthem.  In a brief address to the audience Mr. Haridwar Pandey stressed the need to recognize the importance of Hindi language.

Founded in 1918, by a group of leaders with a mission to popularize Hindi across the world this Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan is the 2nd of its kind in the world after the Prayag Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. India’s first president of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad was its patron and president in 1926. Rahul Sankrityayan, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar and Laxmi Narayan Sudhanshu are some of the great name associated with this heritage of Hindi language.

Citing some examples which were as plain as a pikestaff, the 70 years old Prime minister of the BHSS underscores that Hindi being a language of International appeal has an inherent quality to observe other language in it. Similarly it gets easily intermingle with most of the language, be it English, Arabian or Urdu. Talking to our correspondent he said the world famous dictionary like Oxford and Webster’s has been taking few words from Hindi in every next edition and that’s why words like Ma, Pundits, Brahmin, Sadhu are now parts of English language.

Talking to our correspondent the Prime Minister of BHSS says that Given the constitution of India has more than a hundred amendments, we actually needed a somewhat different rule of law to focus the specific need of a poor India. He recalls that the maker of constitution of India, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was not satisfied him self by the format of the constitution. At some point of time Dr. Ambedkar pointed out that English men are reluctant to give us freedom and if the constitution of India won’t address their concern the freedom may be delayed by another decade. It is well known that India got Independence in 1935 itself but the English greed kept the Indian leadership in dilemma on the ground of Indian’s inability to manage this big country. Our top leadership then in hurry had no option left and hence constitution of seven other countries were brought and tried to take the best part of all of them. He pointed out were there no constraints we would have Hindi all around. Due to some constitution taboo Hindi has to cripple to grow till now, which is unacceptable.

Kundan Kumar, an active member of the working committee, of BHSS, a repository of Hindi language, expressed his resentment over government apathy towards this heritage of national and international importance. “this fund-crunch organization is running on its own and to manage finance to cater its daily need and other maintainence work we have to let a part of our building premises on rent”, said other member.

Great Display By Fine Art Student

Fine Art is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. A student of Patna Art College, Sunny has proved the quote once again. While the college was basking in the glory of a wonderful 75th anniversary amid full media attention and as the university looses its purse string for the celebration function, a 3rd year student of the same college were denied to exhibit his showpiece citing the painting he wishes to display may broadcast wrong message in society.

Not distracted by this discouraging decision of the college, Sunny kumar exhibited his portrait in a nearby deserted ground of Bengali Akhara premises, some 100 meters away from the college. "these days some youth do write the name of their girlfriends using their blood to impress them, i do it for portraying Bharat Mata, Is this my fault?", asks the young chap. 'I did my best but the college administration has not allow my art piece for exhibition' he continues.

Though nervous a bit as he attracted displeasure of some of his seniors and college administration a visually enthralled Sunny underscores the three messages inherited in his portrait. “First, I want to make people remember the sacrifice of our freedom-fighters and leaders. The blood they happily devoted to their loving country. Secondly, the jawans of India in far flung borders area are still continuously sacrificing their life for us. The 10 ml of my  blood used to make this portrait is just to show solidarity with those jawans. Third the last but not the least this portrait do broadcast message that underscores the importance of blood, hence this draw awareness for blood-donation in society”, said sunny kumar.

The 3rd year student of Applied Art Subject sunny may have failed to convince the college authorities but his never-die-spirit has engulfed the college authority in a dock where they are supposed to clarify their stand. Sunny kumar is not a new name for making news. It is this very student whose unique design on 'No-liquor Day' using waste bottles of liquors hit the media attention. A different mind with a different approach - a real cocktail for art & creativity.
