Peaceful Election in PU completes
The election fever in Patna University election come to an end early this morning as results were announced after counting continues till late at various centres. The ABVP lead the battle with the seat of president as Ashish Sinha beat the the AISA's Divya Gautam.
Some surprising facts come to light in this election, happens after a gap of 28 years. Students of Patna Womens' college remained reluctant to vote and keep away from the democratic process. Just 47% voting been reported. Results for all posts including General Secretary, Secretary, President, Vice-President, Treasurer at the University level and at college level Executive Members has been declared.
Administration were quite vigilant and special police forces, vajra had been deployed at counting stations. Special pass were issued to Media and others relevant personnel in advance. No one were allowed to enter the college premises without special pass. Maximum crowd and festivity were seen near Magadh Mahila college.
Town DSP Manoj Kumar congratulated the winners and seems relaxed after completing a long-haul event completed peacefully. It is quite clear that the admin would not alert from day one the event would turned violent keeping the things began to get ugly during nomination. The regular raids on univesity hostel and deployment of forces in the campus keep the things under control.
