Earlier in a match against Kings XI Punjab he took 3 important wickets and directed their best of batsman like Yuvraj Singh, A.Goyal and K.Sohail to pavillion. Son of a lower-middle class family in a far flung village in Rohtas district of Bihar, Amit is the youngest son of Mr. Ramgovind Singh, a retired Flight-Lieutenant of Indian Air Force.
