Electricity Board Gm Face Painted Black

On friday the silk city has witnessed yet another incident of intolerance. The drama was beamed into the premises of the GM office itself. On Friday morning a group of local people leaded by some workers of youth congress. Infuriated over the severe power cut in the city for the last couple of months the people encircled the GM Binod Kumar and painted his face black. Some local students blame the GM of inaction and negligence despite their regular request and application for improving the power situation. There is no electricity at all leading to various travails completing their daily chores. The locals justifies the incidence and ratinale that as the KahalGaon Power Plant is just about 6 kms away we do get only 4-5 hours of electricity per day. It is a stark example of negligence by the authority. Narrating the story to its full to our correspondent a officials employed in the same premises said that a group of NSUI workers sits on dharna in the premises of Electriciyt board headquarter since morning shouting slogans demanding for more electricity be given to the city. As soon as the General Manager alighted form his car the students encircled him and only then there is a hot exchange of words begin between the GM and students. Soon the students overpowered him and black his face. The board premises come under Barari police station. The inspector of the station could not be contacted till late in the evening though a FIR has been lodged against 12 unknown person. while other sources . The employees of electricity department reacted sharply over the incident and threatened to withdraw power supply to the city if police do not take appropriate action against the culprit.
