The general officer-in-commanding (Central Command, Lucknow) Lt Gen H S Panag will personally visit flood-hit areas on Monday to review the grim situation in the five worst-hit districts Saharasa, Supaul, Madhepura, Samastipur and Purnia. It is well known that taking the large numbers of flood victims it has been largely felt both by the state and central govt. that some starategy need to be develop to tackle the situation. On this basis a short-term and long-term plan will be made. While the agencies and Army pressed into service to RESCUE / Evacuate them first, keeping proper arrangements at relief camps in good proportion is next on the card. Many NGOs and local institution is working at the grass-root level to help flood victims and not to surprise they were the first whose helping hand reaches the needy one.
