Passengers Drugged, Looted In Train

They were offered biscuits and tea laced with intoxicants by the miscreants who became friendly to their follow passenger by then. All of this happen in the general bogies only. The cheats robbed them of valuables worth above Rs. 1 lakh, including cash, the police said. Md. Parvez Alam of Arwal(Bihar) were weeping over his ill-fortune informed that he was relieved of cash of Rs 30,000 by the cheats. He was returning home from Delhi with his hard earned money. The cheats,numbering two to three, offered tea to him. What happened to him later, he could know only after losing everything he had. The drugged passengers said the cheats have been more active between Aligarh and Allahabad route on the mainline section. Unfortunately, the railway police are yet to identify the gangs involved in the loot operations, they said. Some of the passengers reaches Patna Jn. completely unconscious, alighted from train by RPF jawans. Despite knowing the modus-operandi railway administration yet failed to grab them.
