Flood Enters Madhepura : Town To Be Evacuated

Mobile connectivity is not working in the flood affected areas. A 14 years boy in Virpur, who somehow escapes on his own informed that about 1000 persons are on the roof of a govt. house building left with no food & water. This news knocked the administration as they also afraid of getting the building collapsed due to over weight. But since there were only two boats available there, by monday morning they failed to sent instant evacuation team. The elderely says that this time flood has crossed what it done in 1953. Thousands of people have been evacuated by the NDRF and SSB personnel on saturday and sunday. Nearly 61 relief camps have been set up in the flood-hit areas of Supaul, Araria and Madhepura districts in north Bihar. Food packets are being air-dropped. Accrording to disaster management department sources on an approximation nearly thirty lakh people are reeling under the impact of floods in Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, West Champaran, Sheikhpura, Patna, Nalanda, Supaul, Araria and Madhepura districts.
