Urban Dev. Minister Warns High Court
Updated on 20 August, 2008
Talking to media over the high court remarks, the minister said on tuesday in Patna that he will complain to the chief justice over the irresponsible remarks of the learned court. He said the learned court should had not pass such remarks without having any concern with the govt and the efforts it is taking on to keep the city neat and clean, "the court works under the constitution and it should cross its limits", he said. "The court should first take care of the toll of pending cases which is increasing by every day passes', he claimed. A somewhat furios minister left no room for the court and attempted to corner it. "We are working with full attention and honesty but the backlog of work for over 25 years can't be done in just a year time", he said. According to him the department and related authorities are working on a war-foot and the situation is improving. Though, the record rainfall and before time monsoon has hindered development works significantly. But whatever the minister said and the way he challenges the Judiciary are all set to prove costly for him. Report : S. Amit, Patna
