It is well known that Patna university and college staff has been on a strike for more than 40 days. They wanted a rise in their salary and more demands related to salary. Even bihar govt. and Nitish Kumar personally attempted to appease the striking employees but failed. On a PIL petition even the high court instructed the govt. to do more to end the strike, but the Patna university employees are not agree to any thing less than rise in salary. An FIR has been lodged against seven ABVP activists in connection with Tuesday’s incident. “All of them have been arrested on charges of creating disturbances,” SSP Amit Kumar said. The ABVP leaders on tuesday announced to launch a state-wide agitation from Wednesday, demanding immediate removal of the education minister. Opposition leader Rabri Devi demanded resignation of the education minister as the government failure to end the strike of non-teaching staff of universities and colleges in the state.
