The Shankaracharya episode was the root cause of distance between BJP and Jayalalita. However BJP has already started searching for new partners in South India and Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP spokesman and in-charge of Tamilnadu was designated to look for partners in Tamilnadu. It is learnt that the duo had met in Tamilnadu with a good smell for BJP. Jayalalita is not very happy with UNPA experience. The drift got widen in the presidential election and recent Indo-US civil atomic aggrement. Ravi Shankar Prasad was in Tamilnadu to attend a seminar against terrorism. Jayalalita looks quite standing with BJP on security front as well as on terrorism. The duo also discussed possibilty of PMK joining hands with NDA. PMK supremo Ramdas is not happy with DMK.On Indo-US civil atomic aggrement, Jayalalita looks standing with BJP with BJP demanding for establishment of a joint parliamentary committee. On the other hand from UNPA Amar singh, SP general secretary sated that if a joint parliamentary committe is not possible the govt should consider other possibilities. Jayalalitha distanced from Amar Singh's statement and said this is not the opinion of AIADMK and could be Amar SIngh's indepndent view. Jayalalita is also annoyed with UNPA on the issue of rally in protest of Indian naval excercise with other countries. Jayalalita was not informed about this rally. Jayalalita isisted that on the issues of national security, there must be a common view among all parties irrespective of their status - whether they are partners in the govt or in opposition. This stand has been posed by BJP and NDA earlier to which Jayalalita looks coming closer.
