High Court Favour Bihar For Tenughat Project

Updated on 02 July, 2008
It is well known that after the bifurcation of state 70% of the power plants went to Jharkhand leading the state to depend only on 30% of the rest leading to making Bihar depend on foreign sources. Before this the single seated bench (Js.ChandraMauli Pd.) of High Court, had favoured the Jharkhand's right over the production. The Bihar govt. had filed a writ petition against this arguing that as per Area and population Bihar have the natural right over it. Currently the Tenughat plant is all set to produce 400 MW  of electricity.
