Patna Women's College

It was the beleif of founder members that the upliftment of Bihar could be achieved only with upliftment of women by providing them with good education and good opportunities. This beleif drove to the establishment of Patna Women's College, a gift to women in Bihar.The college was commissioned as degree college in 1941. The then Governor of Bihar, Lord Rutherford offered the landscape in front of The Patna High Court for the college to the then principal, Mother Theodosia. Patna Women's College is eqipped with well known teachers and academicians and offers several regular as well as vocational cources in the field of microbiology, computer science, advertising, mass communication, business administration and others. The college central library is one of the best in Patna having more than 6000 books and journals on relevant cources.
