Speaking about the measures taken by the state govt in order to provide relief to the people from steep hike in petroleum, Modi said the reduced VAT would cost state govt about 150 crore of revenue per annum.Modi took a note of the hike in petroleum products and also accused UPA govt and said the weal decisions by the financial management team of the UPA govt led to the steep price hike of the essential commodities leaving miserable life to common people. On the other hand the state govt is taking all necessary steps to control the situation by passing the ordinance as well as reducing the sales tax levied on petroleum products.
