Pmch Doctors Throws Child From Bed

Updated on 04 June, 2008
According to eye-witnesses, the incident occured during the round of Dr. Vibhuti Narayan in the ward. The child was crying in pain but the junior doctors wanted her to remain silent during the round of the senior doctor. They get irritated over her crying and throws the child from her bed leading to have bone injuries. The junior doctors in the PMCH have been senseless in their attitude for long time. Incidents of ignorance of duty and inhumane behavior has been things, PMCH is identified for. Their attitude often embrasses not just PMCH but the entire medical profession. The Nitish government has been a complete failure in installing rule of law in the hospital. The chief minister must keep in mind that by just renovating, expanding and putting crores of rupees on infrastructure in PMCH is not going to improve the health services here. There is an alarming need of a  independent monitoring system within the state biggest medical premises and to install competent authority in it to penalise such doctors who have turned PMCH into a goons den. Everyone having an iota of brain will ask the junior doctors that why they were required to mercilessly beat the father of a 6yrs. child who lost her life in this very Tata ward of PMCH on sunday (1st june), with their belt and shoes. Before hundreds of eye-witnesses in broad daylight they made it happen. And when the relative and public place their opposition before authority against them they simply went on strike on monday(2nd June). Anyhow, authority(PMCH) successfully appease the doctors and they return to work on Tuesday (3rd June). But the rude doctors re-created the sunday scene and throws a 9yrs child from her bed. Attendent of the patient, her sister and mothers too were beaten cruelly by a host of junior doctors. The entire ward were shunned watch the scene as a numb spectator feeling helpless.
