Major Attack By Maoist In Munger

Jamalpur SP vimal kumar confirmed the attack and informed that adequate police force has been deployed throughout district to avoid any further attack.Aggreviated by the police action on 30th may in which police caught six maoist in Lakhisarai, the maoist called for a 24-hour band to make their presence felt. To post their aggression maoist about 50 in nos. and lay on explosive at the track between the Narganjo & Ghorparan station. The explosion get away with about 2mts. of track leading to derailment of carrier van of Purvanchal Express.The maoist also did fire at the Guard of the purvanchal express, who has a narrow escape in the attack. The services on the track could be resumed only after 10 am. Due to this, a host of trains were running late by hours. Om Prakash Singh, Chief Divisional Manager (traffic) informed our correspondents that six trains were made to a halt at different station between Mokameh and Jhajha.The Kharagpur SDO office in Munger has been targetted in the attack. The damage could be gauge by the fact that even the walls of the SDO court room has been gutted. The office of the Child Development Project also got severe damage to its building. This attack was happened around 4:30 in the morning. SP shalin and DM Lokesh Kumar Singh confirmed the attack and informed that about 100s of maoist were involved in the attack.
