Rtd. Engineer House Ransacked In Rajiv Nagar

Some criminals watching their movements from outside and attacked the family. They did taken the housewife (wife of the retd. engineer) into their custody and made them back to enter into the house. After that whole of the house has been ransacked. After collecting valuables worth more than 3 lakh of rupees, they locked the entire family into a room and fled. Neighbours were alarmed by the shriek and came to open the door. The police were informed immediately but it took almost 2 hours to arrive at the spot. Rajiv Nagar circle inspector Ajay Kr. Choudhary had nothing to say while asked about the high response time taken by the police party to approach the spot. City SP Anwar Hussain informed that a FIR has been lodged and assures of action against the miscreants. The govt had formed the Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna to ease the work load of police and provide better administration and security to the residents of this rapidly growing area. The police station has been assigned with areas which comes early under the jurisdiction of Patliputra, Digha and Shastrinagar police station. But since its inception the record has been poor. What to say of evening, looters and bike-borne miscreants has make life a hell for the residents here. Within a month, april, there has been 7 cases of chain snatching has been reported. On 7th may, some snathcher throws a bomb in road no. 16, when the wife of one Mahesh pd. refused to hand over her gold chain and purse to them. On saturday evening half a dozen of criminals rushed into the house of a retired engineer and escape with booty. Senior police officials in the headquarter do admits that there has been sudden rise of criminal activity in the area but remained silent when asked for the solution. "We are trying our best to solve all cases and you will get results soon", said Mr. Singh a senior police officer.
