According to sources, with this reshuffle, which comes close on the heels of the recast in the Union Cabinet, NDA could be trying to woo several caste who were due. The transfer of DGP of Mr. Jha is a ''caste-politics'' not an administrative reshuffling, claims a RJD leader in Patna. Nitish Kumar is trying to woo forward votes as well especially Maithil Brahmins.Abhayanand, who became quite a high-profile official in the Nitish regime, has been made ADG, BMP. Incidentally, Abhayanand has also been associated with Super 30, a voluntary organisation which selects poor and meritorious students and helps them crack IITJEE — and all this without charging a single rupee.Patna Zone IG Rajvardhan Sharma has been appointed IG, headquarters and administration while IG (provisions) Sunit Kumar has been made IG BMP. A K Seth, IG, BMP has been appointed as IG, anti-dacoity and CID. IG, headquarters Ravindra Kumar has been made IG, provisions and budget.Bihar State Crime Records Bureau IG Girijanandan Sharma has been appointed IG, homeguards and fire services.Three DIGs have been promoted to the rank of IG.
