Poorva Express Ransacked By Students

According to superintendent of railway police (SRP), Jamalpur, Bimal Kumar, the trouble started when several examinees, travelling illegally by Poorva Express, stopped the train at Barahiya by pulling alarm chain. The alert RPSF personnel escorting the train caught them red-handed, he said.Irked over the detention of three youths, several other examinees and local people assembled and started pelting stones on the bogies of the train. In the process, they damaged AC bogies by breaking window panes. Stray stones hit a few passengers, who were sitting in the sleeper class by window side.However, none of the passengers were hurt seriously in the incident, railway police said and added that a few local passenger trains were detained for about half an hour.
