At the press conference he said he never dreamt of the prestigious award and said it was like a dream come true. Describing the complete happening, Bihari said it started very long ago in his prime with the stories of his grandmother that inspired him of writing.Later on he started writing stories and the fabulous moment came in was when his story was published in a magazine, at that moment he was of mere 13, Bihari said.Bihari described  Phanishwar Nath Renu, Kamleshwar, Harimohan Jha, and Jeevkant as his favourite writers among others.
