Declaring the loan approval, World Bank Country Director for India Isabel Guerrero said that although India is changing its face fast on financial terms, Bihar is lagging on economic front with about 39% people living below poverty line. Bihar needs some special package to improve on economic grounds. The loan approved by the World Bank is aimed to improve the growth of the state in the infrastructure, road development and on agriculture areas. These areas needs some reform, said Isabel Guerrero. However Bihar has immense potential for growth in many areas including agriculture, tourism and others and the loan will help the govt to patch up the weakness and will help to develop infrastructure in order to bring the state on development track, said Isabel Guerrero.
