Govt Increases Retirement Age Of Doctors

State cabinet passed the decision in a meeting. Announcing this cabinet secretary Girish Shanker said the decision to increase retirement age would meet the shortage of doctors in govt hospitals as well as would facilitate to overcome the threat of de-recognition of medical colleges in the state as posed due to shortage of staff. The new hiked retirement age would be applicable to both govt doctors as well as on the teachers of the medical colleges.
