Bihar's First Steel Plant : Foundation Stone Laid

Speaking on the occasion, Paswan continued to tirade on state govt and accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from turning back on his promise of providing land. Remembering Nitish Kumar's promise Paswan said, Nitish had earlier promised to provide 100 acres of land for Steel Processing Unit. He also alleged Nitish for not providing land for Vaishali Steel Plant.Paswan termed the steel unit as a sound step towards the industrialization of Bihar. The steel unit will meet needs of not only Bihar but also of neighboring Uttar Pradesh. The steel plant is supposed to get operational by August 2008, said Paswan.As per the reports the Kumarbagh steel processing unit would be developed in two phases with production capacity of 90000 tonnes per anum in the first phase.
