Green Signal To Petroleum Exploration

Appealing people on the occasion of Chhath to pray Sun God for huge deposit on oil and natural gas in the areas which are to be explored under this programme. We all should pray Sun God that Bihar gets its own energy resources in the form of oil and natural gas which could meet our energy needs, Nitish said while addressing a gathering at Indira Gandhi Stadium at Purnia.Nitish is hopeful for a large deposit of oil in the Ganges basin which will solve not only the energy problems in state but also will compensate the loss incurred after the bifurcation of state resulting all the mineral reservoir falling in Jharkhand.According to reports ONGC will invest 150 crore in the exploration of three oil wells in the state by 2015.
