Deal On N-Deal Vs. Nandigram

Updated on 18 November, 2007
At first glance it looked that the Left is quite serious on N-Deal while it started opposing the deal. Now what happened to their patriotism? What made them to reconsider on their earlier stand that N-Deal is against the sovereignty of India? These are such questions which are unanswered. The one answer looks to be in the left ruling state, West Bengal where they completed 30 years of rule this year on 21 June itself which is running through crisis with recent killing in Nandigram, Singur. The Budhdeo govt blames hands of Maoist in recent killings while the recent investigation reports denied the role of Maoist in Nandigram killings. Moreover in Kolkata this is a general view that the current killings in Nandigram and Singur is mentored by Left itself somewhere, somehow. This view is strengthened with the Tapsi Malik rape and murder case in Singur in which Surid Dutta is the main accused who is zonal head of CPM. Tapsi was the member of "Jameen Bachao Samiti".In the recent report to the central govt, Governor of West Bengal described Nandigram situation as a war like situation. Even after the Governor's report neither the govt nor prime minister took pain to say anything rather preferred to stay idol. The central govt act on Nandigram gives strength to the under table deal between Congress and Left. If this is the case, where is our politics heading to. Being a sensible citizen we should think.
