Bihar Police On High Alert

Director General of Police Ashish Ranjan Sinha said the senior police officials and SPs in the state have been directed to keep a close eye on Maoist's activities in the state in wake of the Bandh call. However forces are on utmost alert and security of govt establishments and railway stations, bus depots have been beefed up to avert any possible Naxal's attacks, said DGP.The administration is not taking the Bandh call lightly and as a preliminary precaution senior police officials on Sunday reviewed the security arrangements for the 48 hours Bandh call in the state starting from Monday.In the Naxal affected areas of South and North Bihar, additional forces have been deployed and raids had been conducted at sensitive areas dominated by Naxals as a precautionary measure, revealed DGP.
