State Minister Denies Union Minister's Claim

Singh said the irrigation scheme was cleared as an initiative of Nitish led NDA govt and due to good work of state govt on relief and flood protection steps, central govt agreed to sanction four irrigation schemes.The irrigation schemes were prepared by Nitish Kumar and after the scheme got approved by the State Flood Control Board and Ganga Flood Control Commission, it was sent to the central govt. The central govt paved the green signal to the irrigation schemes prepared by the state govt. As per the agreement the state govt would expend partially in the execution of the irrigation projects while rest of the expenses would be beared by the central govt, Singh said.Singh further added, during 15 years RJD regime the then state govt did nothing to flood protection and none of the schemes were sent to the central govt for approval rather it was Nitish led NDA govt that acted so swiftly for the flood protection schemes.
