Updated on 28 October, 2007
Irked by the negative approach towards work progress despite several reminder the NTPC has now decided to take official action against BHEL. We have to send an official notification in this regard. We are in the commercialisation stage and we can't ride on their excuses. Anyhow we want timely execution of the project. It is extremely embrassing in their part as the company like BHEL has been assigned the job. He says both the Kanti and Barauni thermal power units are working good and their progress of work is satisfactory. The NTPC had recently signed an MoU with the state government, for 1,980 (3X660 MW) power project at Nabinagar, Aurangabad. The chairman-cum-managing director also informed that Stage-III of 1,000 MW in the Kahalgaon plant would come soon in a concrete shape.
