4000 New Appointments For Security In Hospitals

During the last couple of month there is a sudden rise in such incidents, be it the case of the uproar done by relatives followed the death of Pappu Khan in PMCH or the other.Most of the time doctors went on strike and/or sit on dharna following the incident leading to a standstill of all medical services in respective hospitals. This cause great inconvenience to other patients. In such cases emergency patients do migrate to private clinics/hospitals and some who find unable to afford the private clinics/hospitals get a slow death right there on govt. hospitals.The scene has not been new to state hospitals but to tab the trend the Chief Minister who has been very sensitive towards health and education to poors had earlier ordered respective department to sketch a plan to get the evil out. Appropriate security arrangements in hospitals has been a long awaited demands of doctors too.State home secretary Afjal Ammanullah has informed the mediapersons in Patna on thursday that a plan has been drafted for the purpose. Though the state government roles limited in making the arrangements & protocols it is the health department which will have to bear the incurred expenses on salary and other related issues. Talking to mediaperson he said that a special force of 4000 security personal will be created. An officer as Deputy Supritendent(security) will be appointed to each medical college hospitals who will be ranked of DSP under new provision. Moreover, 2 ASI, 1 Hawaldar and 20 Constables will play their role in maintaining peace &security in such hospitals.At present there are 7 Medical College Hospitals, 25 Sadar Hospitals, 23 Division hospitals, 70 referral hospitals and more than 500 primary hospitals running in the state. Emergency and Prisoners ward and Main gates of such hospitals will be the prime focus of security. Earlier the with the help of district police and homeguard anyhow the security arrangements were given to all hospitals which become significantly unsufficient in current scenario.
