A special court had awarded life imprisonment to lovely and her husband Anand Mohan life sentence in the DM killing case along with others. Lovely got the bail from high court after she appealed against the lower court's judgement.She iterated that the case against her and her husband is a result of high level political conspiracy and they are victim of the conspiracy. She hailed Bihar government and said in the name of speedy trial, govt is trying to eliminate its political opponents. She insisted only an independent agency could bring out the truth.Stressing out she asked why the govt picked Gopalganj DM case and ignored other cases, some examples are cases with involvement of Chhotan Shukla, Hemant Shahi, Jamui SP K. C. Surendra Babu, former MP Rajesh Kumar and Congress leader Rajo Singh etc. All the evidences that could prove her and her husband's innocence were either lost or not brought in during the trial process, Lovely said.
