18 Feared Dead In Boat Mishap In Gopalganj

According to sources there were 60 passengers on the boat that was coming from Ahirouli village in Uttar Pradesh to Sallelhpur under Visshambharpur police station. When the boat was passing through it lose imbalance and collided with a tree. Though most of the passengers swims to safer places 18 of could not be rescued and reportedly feared dead. Villagers for the nearby village informed the district administration. BDO JayaPrakash Narayan, Inspector of Visshambharpur police station reaches the spot with a bit of late. While some senior officials from the UP admin reaches the spot within minutes.According to eye witness some unclaimed bycycles and a bike were recovered from the site where the boat drowned into the Gandak.
