Patna Airport Will Have A Cargo Complex

According to the MoU details, the cargo complex development work will be undertaken by a joint venture company comprising both AAI and the state government representatives.Giving details, AAI Patna director Atul Dikshit said onOn Monday AAI Patna director Atul Dikshit said the focus of developing the cargo complex is to provide better opportunity to the agricultural producers. Perishable food products like fruits and vegetables cannot be sent to far off markets due to lack of fast mode of transportation. The cargo complex will help the agricultural producers of such items to send their produce to far-flung places using the air connectivity, Dixit added.The bihar govt is also very interested to provide facilities to investors, establishment of cargo complex can add a new dimension to the industrial development.Taking a dig on the likely facilities the AAI director said, the proposed cargo complex would have, a cold storage for storing perishable items as well as modern facilities of handling the goods meant for shipment.
