Patna Remains Waterlogged

 Heavily affected areas including residential colonies like Patliputra Colony, Rajendra Nagar, Kadamkuan, Kankarbagh and VIP area including Frazer road, Exhibition road, Bailey road are waterlogging upto waist height. The people are frustrated with the waterlogging and requested repeated times from state administration to pump out water from their areas. Patna is witnessing the kind of waterlogging in such a way that the ground floor is completely submerged. Frustrated people demanded that Patna should be handed over to Army as civil administration failed completely to provide relief to the people.Urban minister Ashwini Choubey has assured that the water would be pumped out within 24 hours. The Friday power disruption had hit the pump functioning of stations. And now they are restored and we will control the situation within 24 hours.The leaves of employees of Patna Municipal Corporation and other concerned authorities have been cancelled and the work is going on round the clock to control the severe waterlogging problem, , Choubey added. Amidst city is struggling with waterlogging, RJD supremo and Railway minister visited waterlogged areas and taken account of Nitish Kumar government and alleged govt that people are left on the mercy of Nature.
