Khagaria-Rosra Rail Route Disrupted

According to railway sources the bridge had lost its strenth as it has been remained in flood water for the past couple of weeks. The PWI team has been rushed to the site. A huge number of passengers are waiting at Khagaria station to restart the movement of trains on the said track.Near Olapur-Salona the newly constructed approach bridge no. 9 had began to lose earth from the north side. Though the villagers informed the railway officials about the incident officials did not heed to the information, leading to flow away abot 30 feet of track in flood water on tuesday.Asst. Station Manager at Khagaria railway station informed the Xpress Group correspondent that the passenger train which had returned from Olapur has been send to Barauni & expected the services to normalcy by thursday.
