Compulsory Retirement Shock Dead Hc Staff

The fourth grade employees of the Patna High Court on Monday blocked the main entrance of the High Court with the dead body of Ambika Prasad Yadav, a gardener, who reportedly died after hearing the news of him being on the list of those being retired under the government's compulsory retirement scheme. As reported, Yadav, who was not scheduled to retire until 2016, was informed that he is one of the many who had been forced to retire under the compulsory retirement scheme. Hearing the news, he suffered a massive heart attack resulting in his death.Angered by Yadav's death, other fourth grade employees of the Patna High Court blocked the main entrance with his dead body and chanted anti-government slogans demanding withdrawal of compulsory retirement scheme saying it was unfair and economically devastating to those affected by it.Report said altogether 17 employees of the Patna High Court had been given the pink slip terminating their career despite many not scheduled to retire for several years. Court officials, however, said that during a recent investigation, as many as 32 employees were found to be over the age of 60 but had listed several years less than their actual age. The blockade was finally removed after the High Court managing director intervened and assured them of looking into their complaints.
