Cryogenic engines are used in satellites. The scientists and technicians involved are in fact the face of proud in the India Space Programme. Our current GSLV satellite launcher uses cryogenic engines supplied by Russia. Now we can use our own indigenous built cryogenic engine in our satellite launcher GSLV. The test was conducted successfully at the Liquid Propulsion Centre, Mahendragiri in Tamilnadu. INSAT 4-C Successfully Launched19 August 2007India successfully launched INSAT 4-C satellite from indegenous Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F02) from ISRO's Srihrikota space center.
