Just 6 hours of incessant rain makes city life to a blank. On sunday evening the heavy downpour started at about 4 pm and perpetually makes for 6 hours without a spate of breath. The government claims of a fool proof monsoon prepration got a jolt with media reports and visuals of grave situatio of Patna roads claims the prime space of every media.
Except some high rise roads each and every street faces the same fate as the water logging touches upto 3 feet making impossible to drive. Even pedestrian have a tough time. KankarBagh, Rajendranagar, Lohanipur, Rajvanshi Nagar, Police Colony, Anisabad, Haroon Nagar were the worst hit. Our correspondent s. amit who covers early this morning finds no difference in the probblem what he witnessed in 2007 despite all govt. claims and as hundreds of crores of rupees were spent to made channels through the city.

कटरा (मुजफ्फरपुर) : थाना के उत्तरी बेरई स्थित बरहद गांव के एक मासूम बच्चे की चोरी के आरोप में पकड़ी गई महिला को ग्रामीणों ने मारपीट कर अ‌र्द्धमूचिर््छत कर दिया। बाद में मुखिया के निर्देश पर उसे पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया गया।
ज्ञात हो कि इन दिनों बच्चा चोरी की घटनाओं को लेकर कई क्षेत्रों में आतंक फैला हुआ है। कई स्थानों पर लोग रतजगा करने को विवश हैं। शुक्रवार को बरहद के 6 वर्षीय बालक शंभू को लेकर एक अज्ञात महिला चौर की तरफ चली। बच्चा भय से रो पड़ा और चिल्ला उठा। बच्चे के शोर पर ग्रामीणों की भीड़ इकट्ठा हो गई और महिला को गिरफ्त में ले लिया। मौके पर जमा भीड़ ने महिला की जमकर पिटाई की। मुखिया की पहल पर महिला को पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया गया जिससे उसकी जान बच सकी।

पटना, १३ सितम्बर,
नालंदा अंतरास्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति की नियुक्ति से जुदा विवाद उस समय और गहरा हो गया जब संसथान के मेंटर ग्रुप से पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. अबुल कलाम आज़ाद ने इस्तीफा दे दिया. उन्होंने खुद को विश्वविद्यालय के सभी कार्यकलापों से खुद को अलग करने की घोषणा कर दी है. गोपा सबरवाल(वर्तमान कुलपति) की नियुक्ति पर आपत्ति करने वालों का तर्क है की वे लेडी श्री राम कालज में मात्र रीडर रहीं हैं. ऐसे में एक अंतरास्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति पद पर उनकी नियुक्ति अनूचित है.
ज्ञातत्व है की नालंदा अंतरास्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय की परिकल्पना डॉ. कलाम का ही सपना है जिसपर ग्रहण लगता नज़र आ रह है. वैसे केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय होने के कारण न्युक्ति से लेकर प्रबंधन और सञ्चालन के लिए केंद्र सरकार ही जिम्मेदार है. बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नितीश कुमार के दिलचस्पी के कारण ही बिहार में इस प्रकार की विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना हो पाई है. बतातें चलें की भारत के किसी राज्य में इतना वृहद् अंतरास्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय नहीं है. केंद्र के गैर-जिम्मेदाराना रुख के कारण ही विवादों में फंसने से विश्वविद्यालय के गरिमा को आघात लगा है. पर वक़्त रहते उचित प्रसासनिक कदम से गिरती छवि को बचाया जा सकता है.

मधेपुरा से प्राप्त समाचार के अनुसार आज अहले सुबह एक २६ बर्सीय युवक ने अपने सगे चाचा-चाची की कथित रूप से पीटकर हत्या कर दी. घटना बिहार में मधेपुरा के कुमारखंड थाना क्षेत्र की है. स्थानीय पुलिस ने आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है एवं आज magistrate के सामने उसकी पेसी होगी.

पुलिस के अनुसार विशुनपुर गांव में गोकर्ण चौधरी ने सोमवार रात को अपने ही चाचा और चाची की सोते समय ईट-पत्थरों से पीट-पीटकर हत्या कर दी. पुलिस अधिकारी के अनुसार प्रथम दृष्टतया हत्या का मुख्य कारण पारिवारिक विवाद बताया जा रहा है. दोनों शवों को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है. पुलिस आरोपी गोकर्ण को गिरफ्तार कर उससे पूछताछ कर रही है.पुलिस पूरे मामले की छानबीन कर रही है. इस निर्मम घटना से ग्रामीणों में रोष है.

पटना दीघा रोड पर रविवार सुबह एक मोटर साइकिल पर सवार तीन लोगों की मौत बाईक के ट्रक के नीचे आ जाने के कारण हो गयी. प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार अहले सुबह बारिस की वज़ह से सड़क पर फिसलन थी. दीघा की ओर से आ रही हीरो होंडा बाईक पर तीन लोग काफी तेज़ गति से आ रहे थे तभी अचानक उनका संतुलन खो गया एवं बाईक फिसल कर बिपरीत दिशा से आ रही ट्रक के नीचे आ गई. तीनो युवकों की उम्र २२,३० और ३२ थी. मामला पाटलिपुत्र थाने में दर्ज की गयी है. ट्रक ड्राईवर को हिरासत में लिया गया है.
