Patna University is all set to celebrate its foundation day on October 1. Patna University is the seventh oldest university in the country which was established on 13th September, 1917. It was recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1956. This year Patna University is celebrating 92nd foundation day.
 
Woman Stabbed by Domestic Aid in Patna Print E-mail

On Saturday, a woman at Chandmari road was found dead in her house. The woman 28 year old was stabbed brutally by sharp weapon by her domestic aid on Saturday morning at around 5 am. The victim has been identified as Sapna Bharati., daughter of a garment shop owner Munshi Lal Gupta.

Drug gang is actively operating in the trains running between Patna and Delhi. Five passengers has been found drugged in the Patna bound Jansadharan Express on Friday. The victims ahve been admitted to the Danapur Railway Hospital.

Shahabuddin with special session court awarding 10 years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 15000 to the MP in the illegal arms act on Friday. The court in its verdict found Shahabuddin guilty of procuring illegalarms in his house at Pratappur.

On Tuesday, the central govt. restrained from its earlier stand of setting a high level probe in Kusaha Dam breach which caused more than 2 lacs of people affected and several hundreds of people homeless. It was announced at a press release by the Union Water Resources Ministry on Tuesday.

On Sunday night, a doctor from Maharashtra Dr. Chandrakant Patil died in Kataiya village in Koshi affected Supaul district. Dr. Patil was of 25. Dr. Patil got stuck in lightening who has come to Bihar in the 40 member team who volunteered in several flood affected areas in Bihar.
 
State Information Commission fines Executive engineer Print E-mail

On Monday the State Information Commission fined an executive engineer for violation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act. The executive engineer of Bhagalpur will have to pay a penalty of Rs 25000. The penalty amount would be deducted form the engineer’s salary.
