Chief minister Nitish Kumar got a great shock when he saw the fury of flood in Supaul, Araria and Madhepura. He was on a aerial survey on sunday. Answering to questions of media after returning from the survey, the CM had nothing to say except "ee barrh nahi, parlay hai"... Stranded crops extended to about 40k hectares of land has been submerged leading to greatest loss to the farmers who depends on agriculture. 12 blocks of Madhepura has been completely inundated and evolve as the worst hit area.

The flood situation in Danapur (30kms.) west of State Capital remained tensed as the river is flowing above danger level. On an approximation about 30 lakhs people has been affected by flood. Most of the village have been completely inundated n 5 to 8 feet of water in different areas. Except the Bihar Cont. Area every where there is water and nothing else. Though villagers were relocated by time they have not enough food stuffs to eat. Moreover, there is shortage of drinking water at the temporary camps organised by district administration in the area.

Schools in Patna has been closed with immediate effect following the order from district administration. In a communique to school undersigned by district magistrate of Patna Jitendra Kumar Sinha, the schools, where waterlogging retains, were said to remain closed for coming two days counted to monday and tuesday. The administration will review the situation and depending on the situation then the closure may extend.

As the situation of flood is taking toll flood victims are getting infuriated over the sluggish pace of relief work. Reports from Supaul and Madhepura confirms that On Saturday a group of villagers pelted stones at Supaul administration officials. There are 6 to 8 feet of water and villagers are unable to move on their on. As the pathetic situation enters 5th day the villagers have been virtually left without food, water and shelter.

Koshi Water Enters Madhepura
The situation of flood in the state is getting tensed as it enters into Madhepura. Following this there is a sense of insecurity among population in the three blocks of the district. The flood water first entered Kumarkhand block. Road and railway traffic are severely affected as tracks and roads have been completely damaged in Murliganj block. A long portion of the NH-107 before the Baluaha road bridge is completely damaged.

Major Naxal Attack In Gaya, 8 Killed
In a major bolt to the administration the naxalites attacked police force in Gaya on thursday. Three SAP jawans were killed on the spot while an ASI has lost his life. The attack seems to planned and the attackers were waiting near the Raniganj branch of Punjab National Bank. Following the attack the whole market were shut down as fears rumbled through. The police has encircled the area and intesive search is on to grab the naxalites.
