On Friday in a tragic incident six persons were killed by a running train  Kiul-Jamalpur section of Eastern Railway. The incident took place between Masudan and Dharahara railway stations when Varanasi bound Sealdah-Varanasi Express was passing through and passengers were hit by Jainagar-Howrah passenger train on the track.

On Monday, former assembly speaker Shiv Chandra Jha lost his life after fighting from his injuries at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Jha was hit by a motorcycle outside his home in Bhagalpur. The hit by motorcycle had caused severe injuries in his head and back.
