    पटना, मुंगेर, कार्यालय संवाददाता, महीनों से हथियार तस्करों के पीछे लगी एसटीएफ को सोमवार को एक बड़ी कामयाबी हाथ लगी। मुंगेर और बेगूसराय जिलों में हुई छापेमारी के दौरान एसटीएफ ने अंतराज्यीय हथियार तस्कर गिरोह के चार सदस्यों को गिरफ्तार कर भारी मात्रा में हथियार बरामद किया। तस्करों का नेटवर्क बिहार के विभिन्न शहरों के आलावा उत्तर प्रदेश तक फैला है। खबर लिखे जाने तक छापामारी जारी थी।
   एसटीएफ के मुताबिक आईजी आँपरेशन कुमार राजेश चंद्रा को सूचन मिली की मुंगेर के रहनेवाले कुछ बदमाश हथियारों की तस्करी में लिप्त हैं। सूचना के आधार पर एसटीएफ डीएसपी सुनील पासवान के नेतृत्व में स्पेशल ऑपरेशन ग्रुप को तस्करों को पकड़ने की जिम्मेदारी दी गयी। कई दिनों की मशक्कत के बाद एसटीएफ की टीम ने सोमवार को मुंगेर के कोतवाली थाना छेत्र में गंगा नदी के किनारे से तीन तस्करों को धर दबोचा।
   संजय, संजीव और रविश नाम के तीनो तस्करों के पास से एक रेगुलर रिवाल्वर, तीन ९एमएम का पिस्टल, १.५६ लाख रूपये नगद और एक मोटरसाइकिल बरामद की गयी। तीनों की निशानदेही पर बेगूसराय के साहेबपुर कमाल में छापेमारी की गई।

गंगा का खनन पुनः जारी
- राष्ट्रीय नदी गंगा को काटने-खोदने से रोकने के लिए १२ बार आमरण अनशन किए गए।
- हरिद्वार मे स्वामी निगमानंद ने २००८ में ७३ दिनों का अनशन किया था।
- इसी वर्ष जून को शरीर त्यागने के पूर्व उनका अनशन ११४ दिनों तक चला था।
- हालांकि इस लड़ाई के बाद ज्यादातर स्टोन क्रशर बंद दो गए, लेकिन परी तरह से नहीं।
- पुनः नए आदेश और सरकार के समर्थन से धीरे-धीरे खनन तेज हो रहा है। इसके विरूद्ध स्व. निगमानंद के गुरू मातृ सदन के प्रमुख स्वामी - शिवानंद ने अनशन आरंभ कर दिया है।
- प्रश्न है कि क्या शिवानंद भी निगमानंद की तरह गंगा के बचाने के लिए अपनी बलि दे देंगे?

गंगा को सरकार ने भले राष्ट्रीय नदी घोषित कर दीया, लेकिन अब तक उसके साथ पूरे देश की सरकारें कैसा आचरण करें, इसकी कोई एकरूप नीति नहीं बन पाई है। इसका प्रमाण उत्तराखंड विशेषकर हरिद्वार में गंगा के अंदर खनन को लेकर सरकार का रवैया है। गंगा के शनन मुद्तै पर संत, आंदोलनकारी एवं राज्य सरकार पुनः एक दूसरे क् आमने-सामने है। विडम्बना देखिए कि संत एवं आंदोलनकारी जहां तर्क दे रहे हैं कि गंगा मैया की कोख से खनिजों का दोहन करने से नदी का मुल अस्तित्व नष्ट हो जाएगा वहीं सरकार का कहना है कि अगर खनन नहीं होगा तो गंगा के बहाव प विपरीत असर होगा। सवाल है कि सही कौन है?
ध्यान रखने की बात है कि स्वामी निगमानंद ने गंगा में खनन रोकने की मांग को लेकर ही आमरण अनशन किया था और इसी निमित्त उनकी मृत्यु हो गयी। ऩिगमानंद की मृत्यु के बाद से इसे लेकर लगातार आंदोलन चल रहा है और पूर्व की भांति हरिद्वार का मातृसदन इसका केन्द्र बिन्दु है। लंबे आंदोलन बाद सरकार ने कुंभ छेत्र मे खनन रोकने का आदेश दिया था, लेकिन २००८ मे एक प्रशासनिक निर्णय के अनुसार कुँभ छेत्र को ही कम कर दिया गया एवं इसके अनुसार पूर्व मे कुंभ के अंतर्गत आने वाले अजीतपुर व मिस्सरपुर को इससे अलग कर दिया गया फलतः इन छेत्रों में खनन फिर से शुरू हो गई।

Amid a campaign by Team Anna for polls reforms, the Election Commission has disfavoured any proposal to include the 'Right to Reject' or 'Right to Recall' clauses in election rules, saying they may not work in a large country like India.
Opposing the proposal to have a 'Right to Recall' as in many developed countries, Chief Election Commission Mr SY Quraishi has held that it will “destabilise” the country, especially in areas where “people already feel alienated”.

बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री लालू यादव ने आज जयप्रकाश जयंती को अपनी राजनीतिक जमीन तलाशने की पुनर्जोर कोशिश करते हुए अपने हजारों समर्थको के साथ नितीश सरकार के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया. राज्य भर से पार्टी समर्थक, नेता और विधायक सुबह से ही जयप्रकाश नारायण गोलंबर पर जुटने लगे थे. नारों, नगारों और गाजे बाजे के साथ पार्टी समर्थकों ने गाँधी मैदान के दक्छिनी छोर पर सुबह से ही डेरा दाल दिया जिसके वजह से ट्राफिक व्यवस्था चरमरा गयी. हालाँकि प्रशासन पूरी मुस्तैद दिखी और अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल ने मोर्चा संभाल लिया था.

रविवार को पटना के ऐगजीबीसन रोड में आर्ट गैलरी का उदघाटन हुआ. अपनी तरह के इस अनोखे निजी प्रयास को पत्रकारों और संभवत: हर मीडिया का कवरेज मिला.
ज्ञातत्व है की पटना में आर्ट गैलरी को लेकर बहुत कम प्रयास हुए हैं. बिहार के कलाकारों के लिए सबसे बड़ी समस्या है की वह पेंटिंग्स बनाये या उसकी बिक्री के लिए जुगाड़ लगाये. सूचना और संसाधन के आभाव में अच्छी प्रतिभा भी पहचान की मुहताज बनी हुई है. इस सन्दर्भ में B .N. Art Gallary का शुभारम्भ बिहार के कलाकारों को एक मंच प्रदान करने में बड़ी भूमिका निभा सकता है.
बी एन बरियार रास्ट्रीय स्तर के चित्रकार हैं और पिछले १५ बरसों से रंगों से नए आयाम गढ़ रहें हैं. इसी बरस फरबरी में उनकी तेल चित्रों की तीन दिवस्ए प्रदर्शनी पटना युवा होस्टल प्रांगण, में भी लगाई गई थी जिसकी सफलता से प्रेरित होकर उन्होंने बिहार में आर्ट गैलरी की आवयसकता को महसूस किया.
आर्ट गैलरी के co-ordinator अनुपम राज ने बताया की उनकी इस गैलरी में अन्य कलाकार भी अपनी पेंटिंगस को स्थान दे सकते हैं. भविष्य की योजनाओ को बताते हुए उन्होंने कहा की अगले महीने से पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया जायेगा. इसके साथ साथ मुंबई और दिल्ली के प्रतिष्टित कलाकारों की कृति को भी संयोजित किया जायेगा. दिसम्बर महीने में श्री बरियार की पेंटिंग दिल्ली के अपर्णा आर्ट गैलरी में आमंत्रित की गयी है.
