As a yet another incident of embarrassment to the Nitish led govt, a JD ( U ) minister  Narendra Singh  and his son assaulted a BJP MLA Phaguni Prasad Yadav. The incident took place during a function at Jamui to inaugurate a bridge over Borno river.

As a major relief to the passengers and visitors at Patna Junctiona railway station, Patna GRP on Wednesday arrested five pickpockets. All the five persons were running a gang for past several months. Two stolen mobile phones and some other valuable goods beside sharp blades have been recovered from the pickpockets.

Vice-President To Visit Patna
The vice-president of India Honb'le Hamid Ansari is visiting Patna on 11th June to inaugurate the Chandragupta Prabandhan Sansthan. A university set up by the state govt. committed to facilitate it with international standards is to be foramlly inagurated by the  Vice -president.  On the  initiative taken by Chief minister Nitish Kumar the Chandragupta Sanstan will be alloted 20 acres of land near Mithapur in central Patna.

Smart Card Driving Licence Launched In Patna
Chief Minister Nitish kr. on tuesday inaugurate the Smart Card form of driving licence. In a simple function at the office of District Transport Office in local Biscoman building the CM himself distributed the first five Smart Cards. The District Transport commission Mr. K.K. Pathak were also present on the occassion and helped the Chief Minister understand the features and advantages of having a Smart Card.

A case of beating and abusing a newly married girl (Ranjita) has come to light on Patna on Tuesday. On the complaints of the father of Ranjita, police arrested her in-laws while her husband escaped.
The Father in-law of the victim girl Shambhu nath Pathak along with his wife (Mother in-law Mrs. Kusum Devi) has been arrested and sent to jail on tuesday. He has been working as a manager in State Bank Of India and do reside in Arjuna tower in T.N.Banerjee road in Patna.

On Monday during a lathicharge more than a dozen job seekers got injured. The incident took place at Khagaul outside Jagjiwan Stadium where more than 2500 job seekers from different parts of the state and other had gathered for appearing in the physical test for group D category jobs in railways.

The channel being dig by NBCC, for passage of drainage water. The boy were slip on the scattered soil close to the channel while passing by roadside. There were rain on sunday in Patna and this made very prone to accident. The channel was full of rain water. According to eye-witnesses Santosh could not help himself getting down into the channel.

FIR Against Ex-Chairman Of Bihar Vidhan Parishad
A case has been registered under section 166,167 and 409 against the ex-chairman of Bihar legislative council for influencing the recruitment process of staffs in the vidhan parishad happened in the year 2006. Then secretary Kapil Deo Prasad has also been charged with the same. The secretariate police lodge a FIR in this regard on sunday following the order from Patna High Court.
