Right to reject, recall may not work in India: CEC
Amid a campaign by Team Anna for polls reforms, the Election Commission has disfavoured any proposal to include the 'Right to Reject' or 'Right to Recall' clauses in election rules, saying they may not work in a large country like India.
Opposing the proposal to have a 'Right to Recall' as in many developed countries, Chief Election Commission Mr SY Quraishi has held that it will “destabilise” the country, especially in areas where “people already feel alienated”.

A National level Workshop on Mainstreaming of Disaster Risk Reduction in Civil Defence Programme, conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Home, Shri Mullappally Ramchandran at Dona Paula, Goa today. It was attended by the Secretary (Border Management), Shri A. E. Ahmad, Director General, NDRF & Civil Defence, Shri Rajiv and Directors, Civil Defence of States and UTs and other dignitaries.

बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री लालू यादव ने आज जयप्रकाश जयंती को अपनी राजनीतिक जमीन तलाशने की पुनर्जोर कोशिश करते हुए अपने हजारों समर्थको के साथ नितीश सरकार के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया. राज्य भर से पार्टी समर्थक, नेता और विधायक सुबह से ही जयप्रकाश नारायण गोलंबर पर जुटने लगे थे. नारों, नगारों और गाजे बाजे के साथ पार्टी समर्थकों ने गाँधी मैदान के दक्छिनी छोर पर सुबह से ही डेरा दाल दिया जिसके वजह से ट्राफिक व्यवस्था चरमरा गयी. हालाँकि प्रशासन पूरी मुस्तैद दिखी और अतिरिक्त पुलिस बल ने मोर्चा संभाल लिया था.

Art Gallary Opened In Patna
रविवार को पटना के ऐगजीबीसन रोड में आर्ट गैलरी का उदघाटन हुआ. अपनी तरह के इस अनोखे निजी प्रयास को पत्रकारों और संभवत: हर मीडिया का कवरेज मिला.
ज्ञातत्व है की पटना में आर्ट गैलरी को लेकर बहुत कम प्रयास हुए हैं.  बिहार के कलाकारों के लिए सबसे बड़ी समस्या है की वह पेंटिंग्स बनाये या उसकी बिक्री के लिए जुगाड़ लगाये. सूचना और संसाधन  के आभाव में अच्छी प्रतिभा भी पहचान की मुहताज बनी हुई है. इस सन्दर्भ में B .N. Art Gallary का  शुभारम्भ बिहार के  कलाकारों  को एक मंच प्रदान करने में बड़ी भूमिका निभा सकता  है.
बी एन बरियार रास्ट्रीय स्तर के चित्रकार हैं और पिछले १५ बरसों से रंगों से नए आयाम गढ़ रहें हैं.  इसी बरस फरबरी  में उनकी तेल चित्रों की तीन दिवस्ए प्रदर्शनी  पटना युवा होस्टल प्रांगण,  में भी लगाई गई  थी जिसकी सफलता से प्रेरित होकर उन्होंने बिहार में आर्ट गैलरी की आवयसकता को महसूस किया.
आर्ट गैलरी के co-ordinator  अनुपम  राज  ने  बताया  की उनकी  इस गैलरी में  अन्य  कलाकार  भी अपनी  पेंटिंगस  को स्थान दे सकते हैं. भविष्य की योजनाओ को  बताते हुए उन्होंने कहा की अगले महीने से पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया जायेगा. इसके साथ साथ मुंबई और दिल्ली के प्रतिष्टित कलाकारों की कृति को भी संयोजित किया जायेगा. दिसम्बर महीने में श्री बरियार की पेंटिंग दिल्ली के अपर्णा आर्ट गैलरी में आमंत्रित की गयी है.
