PrePaid Ricksaw, No Need To Bargain

The enterpreneurship of Bihari youths seems to touch new heights everyday. The new name is of a 28 years MBA graduate from pondicherry named Irfan Alam. After Gaya and Bodh Gaya he has decided to introduce pre-paid rickshaw services in Patna next month. The ricksaw would have all accessories and facilities and specially designed space to keep in all your requirements alike first aid kit, mobile charger, mobile recharge coupons, newspapers, music system, insurance cover for pullers and passengers and serve drinking water.
“We are first to launch `pre-paid rickshaws’ on the line of pre-paid taxi or autorickshaw. We have tied-up with Bihar tourism and started this service at Gaya and Bodh Gaya during the famous `Pitripaksh Mela’ this year,” Alam informs.
Twenty-eight-year-old Irfan, a resident of Begusarai, has received several awards in the recognition of his work. He is running an NGO called, “Samman Rickshaw”.
Our ricksaw is no more just a traditional way of providing conveyance. It has been transformed it into a marketing engine.
Passengers can even pay their utility bills and recharge their mobile phones while travelling by this rickshaw. After great response at Gaya and Bodh Gaya, the SAMMAN group has decided to launch it in Patna in the next month.
Several major centres in Patna alike Patna Junction, airport, bus stand, Gandhi Maidan and Golghar has been identified and shortlisted for rickshaw to stand. At each of these place a counter will function to facilitate the passengers from where they can obtain pre-paid coupon(s). The fair will be fixed on km.basis and now passengers will not have to bargain rates with rickshawpullers.
