Sunday, 10 May 2009
The Election commission has sent its special team to Bihar to investigate the complaints about the miscrepancies happened during voting in the . The entire political circuit remained surprised as the visit was a tight-lipped affair and even the media were remained unknown. It is well known that the commission received maximum complaints from these six parliamentary constituencies. The six team each having two members has reached the constituencies on friday. The enquiry team comprising senior EC officers, Retd. EC officers and IAS.
The team will file its report to the commission after investigation in a couple of days.
On friday one team of two officers reached Chhapra and called the leaders of political parties who made complaint to the EC about miscrepancies during voting. The six constituencies where the team will go are Maharajganj, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Saran, Munger and Jamui.
There has been a mix response to the visit of the team. Some parties are expressed oblique over the motive and blame that these things are done on the manipulation of central govt. and Laloo prasad as the Congress and UPA is sure to lose drastically on these seats."Had the motives been fair the visit should be announced. Moreover the EC is just saying about receiving complaints, why don't it describes the complaints" said a BJP leader and supporter of Rajiv Pratap rudi. "We are open to enquiry and answer any question but the EC should also clear these things", said an independent candidate from Munger.
