CBI Found Finagle In CRPF Recruitment
The Central Bureau of Investigation team has raided at 20 place across five states on tuesday. The raid was somewhat surprising to the height that officers in the KadamKuan Police station in Patna could not understan what's going on as both the police station and CRPF office happens to be neighbor next door placed in the premises of Moinul-Haq-Stadium in RajendraNagar.
The office and resident of IG (CRPF), Mr. Pushkar singh were raided and as per CRPF disclosure significant amount of cash (in crores) has been recovered from the officer residence in Chitragupta Nagar in Patna. While the cash were counted sleuths found many important documents related to appointment of constables in the CRPF. The CBI sleauth come to surprise as there were documents recovered endorses the involvement of Mr. Singh in one of the biggest racket ever in the organisation. The CBI team has already taken 10 people into custody for investigation. According to CRPF sources in Delhi there were miscrepancies on a large scale for the recruitment of constables in the force in 2007. Mr. Pushkar Singh was IG then. Earlier the home ministery also investigated the matter but given clean cheat to Mr. Singh. Following which again the recruitment of constables in the force this year 2009 were taken under the purview of Mr. Pushkar singh. This time CBI got some complaints from the candidates itself and the bureau decided to take the case as it smelt something wrong in the recruitment process.
On tuesday the various team of CBI simultaneously raided the offices of CRPF in Muzaffarpur, Gaya, Munger, Bhagalpur, Ranchi, Mokama Ghat, Aligarh, Yamuna Nagar in Delhi and Mohali in Chandigarh.
The CBI team has camped in Patna and called in the managers of various private and public banks. On wednesday the team directed the banks to ban all mode of transaction and withdrawal from about of dozen of account numbers. The CBI team got the passbooks and Fixed-Deposit certificates of various banks including SBI, PNB, ICICI and HDFC from the residence of Mr. Pushkar Singh. On an estimate the total value of Land and property alone may touch 8-10 crores. About 2 crores rupees were found in cash. There were talks of yellow metal in large quantity in Bank's safe also.
