25 Shocked To Death In Sitamarhi
Following the tragic accident on monday in Hazipur in which an ambassdor car along with total 7 passenger burnt to ashes, Tuesday remarked with another heartbreaking tragedy as 25 people burnt alive as a moving bus dashed into a electricity pole following which the entire bus come into the effect of high tension current as the wire come down over it.
The accident took place near Sikanpur village under Nanpur police station in Sitamarhi some 200 kms from Patna. According to eye witness the accident took place due to "poor driving" otherwise everything was fine. "It happens around 1pm in daytime and there is no dearth of vision", said driver of another bus who was coming behind the ill fated bus. The xpress group correspondent Nitin Kumar reported from the site of accident that the Bus owned by "Sharma Travels" were coming from Pupri to Muzaffarpur. Near Sikandarpur there is road construction work going on and due to this half of the roads were barricaded. The driver failed to maneuver the bus from half of the road and in effort dashed into an electricity pole. The live wire sprang down on the roof and the entire bus come into the effect high tension current of 11,000 volts. Within a spat of eyelid 25 people burnt to death.
Reacting very quickly the local administration of Pupri, DSP (Pupri) Mr. Ramchandra Manjhi and SDO(Pupri) Md. Muslim reached the spot.As the Chief minister Nitish Kr. got the news he ordered for a quick enquiry and instructed the chief secretary RJM Pillai to personally monitor the case. Mr. Swapan Mukherji, President of Bihar State Electricity Board has expressed his grief and announced an initial grant of rs. 1 lakh to each deceased family.
