To reduce the surging traffic pressure on boring road in Patna the state urban development ministry has decided to build a flyover near. The site plan has got the technical clearance. The flyover will cost rupees 111 crores. In the meeting of Planning Authority Board in Patna an initial decision has been taken in on tuesday. The board has not given the green signals to the two more flyovers in the city. The proposed flyover at R-Block will have to wait as its 30 crores budget has to be given to Boring road flyover. The board has took the decision on a need based priority. One more flyover in Kankarbagh will be constructed but the proposal for it will have to resubmitted to the board as it had many technically errors.
The board of development authority were given four proposal out of which only one has been finally sanctioned while the second one of kankarbagh just need a replanning. The members in the board nodded the need of flyover in kankarbagh urgently. The state Pul Nirman Nigam had analysed and submitted the proposals.
The 1600 mts. long flyover in the boring road will have a service lane too. Moreover this flyover will have a 1.6 meter wide footpath for pedestrians. This 36 pillar flyover will be constructed using modern technology as being adopted in metro cities. The board has also directed the Pul Nirman Nigam that alternative routes be provided and the minimum possible inconvenience be given to traffic.
