CM sought PM's intervention in Maharashtra
With the recent statement of Shiv Sena's chief Bal Thakray that “Biharis are unwanted lot”, on Wednesday, Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar wrote a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and  sought Center's intervention to sort out differences between Bihar and Maharashtra. In his letter to PM Nitish took a note of ongoing violence in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra against Bihari and other Hindi speaking people.

On Wednesday, in a bid to regain the Marathi Vote bank, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thakray termed Biharis as “unwanted lot” in India. Shiv Sena chief said in the Sena's mouthpiece Saamna as an attempt to restrict his Marathi vote bank from being turned down towards MNS.
