Electricity Theft Discovered In Rural Patna Print E-mail

The Bihar State Electricity Board seems quite agressive in its drive against power theft. In a raid on ,first of its kind, the officials of the special task force caught 4 persons red handed. The most intriguing fact is that the friday raid was in the rural area like Athmalgola and Nandlal Chhapra. A total fine of Rupees 4.17 lakhs has been imposed on them.

The passengers of sleeper coach S-4 of south Express were looted by armed miscreants in broad daylight on friday some 10 kms. of Patna Junction. According to passengers a gang of youth took the train at the Patna City station. As the train departed from station they took the passengers hostage on gunpoints and made them to surrender their belongings. Shahnawaz, Binod kumar and some women passenger become the prime target of the dacoits. Binod Kumar and Shahnawaz has lodged an FIR in this regard with GRP at Gulzarbagh station. Shahnawaz had to hand over all his belongings including mobile, puse and suitcase.
 
Fire Break Out In Illegal Petro Unit Print E-mail

In a major accident of fire break out a total of 38 people were injured. The fire which break out in an illegal factory engaged in making petrol out of Kerosene oil using local machines and technique. According to eye witness the fire was so intense that it engulfs the whole unit and nearby within minutes leaving no space or time to escape the inhabitants and workers.

Major Power Crunch In Patna
There is no relief to patnaites as power situation gets  another setback on  thursday as the supply feeder at Fathwa come across a major breakdown. The supply in Patna central, east and west as well has been severely influenced. The Mithapur feeder which is responsible to supply these areas has been just getting half of what its required at 80MW.
