On Thursday, a woman was set afire by a youth at Raghopur village near Danapur. The youth Surya Prakash allegedly set ablaze Manju Devi, 30 years old. The reason behind the incident is not yet clear, however fallout of love could not be ruled out.

In wake of the coming Lok Sabha election, the left parties in Bihar formulized the United Left Bloc comprising CPI, CPM and CPI(ML). On Wednesday the party leaders from these party met at CPI(ML) state headquarters in Patna and agreed to form ULB. The ULB would contest the election on 32 seats in Bihar.

On Wednesday, the special TADA court in Gaya awarded death penalty to three accused in Bara massacre 16 years ago. On February 12, 1992, 37 male adults belonging to same caste were brutally killed in Bara.

Cabinet Meets at Hinterland
On Tuesday, in the history of India, a two hour long cabinet meeting was held in a pandal at Birbighi village, some 20 km from Begusarai. Nitish Kumar chaired the cabinet meeting in hinterland. The meeting was attended by almost all ministers and secretaries.
 
Naxals killed 10 Cops Print E-mail

On Monday, at least 10 cops of Bihar police were killed in a naxal attack by Maoist. The naxals attacked Ravidas Ashram at Mahuliatand village near Bihar-Jharkhand border. At Ravidas Ashram there were hundreds of people to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas. Police was there to provide the security.
