PATNA: Heavy downpour throughout night in Patna has crampled the life of city dwellers once again. Life in all areas and residential colonies including Rajendra Nagar, Patliputra Colony and Kankarbagh come to a standstill. Knowingly Patnaites had to face the worst ever water logging this monsoon on 13th of July when the water logged streets followed by entering water into houses made their life a hell. Ony after 12 days and utmost adminstrative intervention city dwellers get rid of water logging.

IIT Patna Starts Today
The first batch of IIT patna will commence classes from today, August7. A total of 108 students, including six girls, have taken admission to the Patna IIT. The most advantageous things with patna IIT is that trade of Computer Science has been started here including electrical and mechanical engineering. Though the institute is yet not registered as a society subsequently IIT-Patna will gets its formal name later through a parliamentary process. Till then the Patna institute will function as an extension centre of IIT-Guwahati.

Threatening the jail supritendent has all set to cost dear to Siwan MP, Md. Sahabuddin. Following the complaints filed by the jail supritendant the district administration has raided the Siwan jail and find a lot of objectionable things like mobile phones, SIM cards, Knife etcl. Jail SP Lalan Pd. Sinha has reported this to Chief Judicial magistrate. A total of 15 persons has been made accused in this case.

The first accident took place in Hamjapur village under Amas police station in Gaya district, where the victim was identified as Nukul Paswan, a Dalit, resident of Chatra district. According to reports some people caught him red handed when he was allegedly tryin to enter a house. Then on he was brutally beaten as people gather at the place quickly.

PATNA: The Bihar education minister Hari Narayan Singh had to face the agitation of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad workers on tuesday. According to reports around 10 am on Tuesday, a group of 40-odd ABVP activists reached the minister’s residence and wanted to meet him. When minister send message to come 5 of them inside they could not respond and started pelting stones at the house.

PATNA: The New Delhi bound 2387 Up Patna-New Delhi Jansadharan Express ran over 6 persons on monday evening. Though unconfirmed reports, however, put the toll at seven.
The passenger are responsible for the accident as they were crossing the railway track like joggers track. Each time railway and its officials are blamed but people too are very negligent about their safety. According to eye-witnesses the deceased had been sitting in the Danapur-Rajgir Intercity Express parked on platform number 4. It was announced that the 562 Dn Ara-Mokama passenger train, standing on platform number 1, would depart first. In a hurry to reach Patna, many passengers got down and crossed the railways tracks to reach platform number 1.Around the same time, the Jansadharan Express was passing the platform number 3 track. At least six of the passengers came under its wheels.

Chief Minister Nitish kumar announced on sunday that families of all who were killed in the truck mishap in Lakhisarai will get a compensation of 1 lakh Rs. Each. He clarfies that if more than one person killed happens to be from same family they will  get one lakh for each of their member loss.

The assistant branch manager of Punjab National Bank, Khetan Market Branch in Patna has been
arrested by the Pirbahore police on saturday. Satendra Kumar Verma has been accused of gulping
money from bank. In an internal inquiry it was unearthed that the accused manager Mr. Verma has tampered with bank protocals and been engaged in transferring bank money into his personal account. Chief general Manager of P.N.B. Mr. B.K.Chaudhary had lodged a FIR regarding this with Pirbahore police. Satendra who is a native of Uttar Pradesh reside here in Patna on a rental flat in Boring road.
